Membership
American Legion membership offers many intangible and tangible benefits and rewards, the most rewarding of which is the camaraderie of association with fellow veterans who have had the honor of serving their Country and of being part of an organization that works to honor and protect the benefits those veterans active duty men and women who are proudly serving our country today. Mid-Pacific Post 1 invites eligible veterans and active duty service members to join our ranks.
Membership Requirements
Eligibility for membership in the American Legion membership is based on active duty service in any branch of the U.S. military, the U.S. Coast or the U.S. Merchant Marine on the dates specified below. Service qualifies whether or not such service was in a combat zone.

Membership Dues
Annual membership dues at Mid Pacific Post 1are $31.50. All proceeds are sent to National Headquarters to cover National dues. American Legion policy permits posts to set dues above the National amount and to retain additional funds for post operations. Mid Pacific Post 1 has elected to not increase dues thereby keeping annual dues lower. Post operations are funded by canteen operations and other local fund raising efforts.

Please complete your application and return to the post or mail with your personal check or monty order for your dues payment to: the American Legion, Mid-Pacific Post 1, P.O. Box 10927, Tamuning, Guam 96931.
Paid Up for Life (PUFL) Memberships
Mid Pacific Post 1 participates in the American Legion PUFL plan. The PUFL plan was established as a convenience to give members the alternative of making a one time payment to cover their dues for the remainder of their life. The PUFL is not a discount membership. T he cost of a PUFL plan is based on the member's age at the time of application and the current annual dues of the Post. Click here to compute your cost for a PULF membership at Mid Pacific Post 1. PUFL dues are paid through the Post to the National organization and are non-refundable.
In order to be eligible for a PUFL membership, t he member must be in good standing, with a valid membership card for the current year. Applications for PUFL membership are completed and submitted to the Post Adjutant or Finance Officer for verification/certification. The Post will review and endorse the application and send it on to National for final processing. Each PUFL member receives a permanent plastic card as well as an annual paper membership card, directly from National. The annual card will be mailed in June or July of each year. Upon request, a replacement card can be provided at no charge to the member. Not all Departments participate in the PUFL plan.

As a member of the American Legion, or the Sons of the American Legion, you will be eligible to participate in the American Legion Life Insurance Program, which provides low cost life insurance and unique plans designed to meet the needs of Veterans of all ages and their spouses.
