Guam Historical and Cultural Landmarks
The Latte Stone is the best known symbol of the Territory of Guam. Latte Stones are believed to have been used as the foundations of ancient Chomorow houses. They are imense and were hand carved from stone in ancient times. Latte stones exist no where in the World other than Guam and the Northern Marianas Islands. The header at the top of this page depicts original latte stones that were relocated to Latte Stone Park in downtown Hatagna across the street from the Guam Supreme Courthouse.
